Pump Analysis

Tale Of The Tool
This tool performs Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) analyses on selected pump configurations, based on the two defined operational states listed below. The analysis utilizes data from the pump's performance curve to evaluate outcomes for single, series, or parallel arrangements, where the series and parallel arrangements being refer to, define double-pump configurations.

A Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) analysis will be conducted to evaluate the pump’s performance across three potential configurations: (1) the current single-pump setup, (2) a simulated parallel-pump arrangement designed to enhance capacity and provide redundancy, and (3) a simulated series-pump configuration aimed at improving maintenance efficiency and system reliability. The analysis will assess key performance metrics—including energy efficiency and power requirements—across a range of speed variations for each configuration under consideration.

This VFD analysis will allow for the testing and refining of relevant design parameters, using predicted operational behavior in a simulated configuration to fine-tune the pump's performance within the intended system. Computed values on power requirements, flow rates, operating speeds, heads, efficiencies, plots and more, comprise the complement of post-analysis deliverables for each setup examined.
