Pump Analysis

Tale of The Tool
This tool provides VFD analyses considering two different operational scenarios: 1) Given a single pump in operation, a VFD analysis of the pump in that, or another user-specified configuration is desired; and 2) Given a proposed system, there is a desire to explore, test, and hone the design parameters around a particular configuration.

Data is collected from an individual pump's performance curve in order to generate fitted plots and formulas that form the basis of the single-, series-, or parallel-configuration analysis, per user-choice. Flow rates, pump speeds, power consumptions, operating heads, operational efficiencies, plots, and derived formulas, constitute the results of each evaluation carried out.
Analyze

Relevant data, that include minor losses associated with the proposed system's piping and fittings are collected (including invidual pump-curve data), in order to predict the operational behavior in the user's choice of configuration. Computed results on power requirements, flow values, speeds, operating heads, efficiencies, bolstered by fitted and derived formulas, comprise the key results supplied by the analysis.
