This tool analyzes the time it takes to transfer liquids between two tanks via gravity—as defined by the two cases presented below. Not to limit its potential, it can also be used as a design tool in testing the impact of the various design factors on the transfer rate between the tanks.

This analysis determines the time it takes to equalize the liquid-levels of two storage tanks, as liquid is transfered from one tank to the other, by way of gravity.
