This tool provides important information on a plant's boiler efficiency, and the blowdown rate necessary to offset the accumulation of solids that can lead to undesirable tube corrosion, constriction, and fouling.
This analysis calculates the boiler efficiency--corrected for the temperature-lowering effect of the short-circuited air in the regenerative pre-heater. This analysis calculates the continuous blowdown rate considering the general case where process steam is diverted for consumption outside of the cycle. Setting this value to zero, defaults the analysis to the simpler case where such auxiliary usage is absent. Enter Data
